Chris Thompson P.Geo – CEO, Founder and Chairman
Chris began a career in Oil and Gas in 2010 as a wellsite Geologist and still actively consultants in the field as recent as 2018/2019 for a record Duvernay well in the Willesden green basin of Alberta. He moved swiftly in the industry from field to Office Operations within 2.5 years. He is the president and operating geologist of a consulting company that focuses on acquisition and integrating of geological, drilling and completions data for clients primarily in deep basin plays specifically the Montney and Duvernay. He is also the inventor of the Geonomic “Perigon” tool which is an advanced logging while tripping application. Chris spearheaded the advanced use of caliper data at Paramount Resources Ltd for proper zone isolation measures with Weatherford’s pipe conveyed 8 arm caliper on 20 horizontal wells in 2014. He is also on record as implementing Schlumberger’s 1st Canadian operation with thru-bit technology in order to capture caliper data on 16 additional horizontal in 2015. The land asset was later sold for $1.9 Billion CDN to Seven Generations Energy in 2016. Chris completed his degree in Geoscience at the University of British Columbia, Canada in 2010 and is a practicing member of APEGA “Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta”. He is also a member of CSPG “Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and sits on the Board of the Well Abonnement and Integrity Society.
Josh Scheel P.Eng – Sr. VP Global Business Development
Josh has an Engineering degree (Industrial Distribution) from Univ. of Texas A&M, he has 16 years of experience in various industries with diverse roles including field experience and executive positions in sales and marketing. He is a dynamic business development executive that has successfully transitioned his business development experience into sales solutions with personal, hands-on knowledge to help meet client’s goals and challenges.
Travis Scott – VP Completions Development
A 16-year career in downhole tool technologies has provided Travis with a strong understanding of drilling, completion, remediation, workover and abandonment operations. He brings firsthand knowledge of the challenges which borehole rugosity poses to the design, installation and integrity of casing strings and multi-stage frac systems. He played a key role in the caliper log determined placement of open hole packers, where logging tools were deployed via Thru-Bit technology which Chris had spearheaded in Canada’s Alberta Montney. Between 2013 and 2017, Travis had employed the process on over 70 wells. With operational involvement in over 900 wells during his career, he has developed a skillset in technical / procedural writing, data / statistical analysis and surface qualification testing.

David Switzer P.Eng – Director
With 20 years of experience, David is the former Vice President of Operations and co-founder of the award winning start-up Evolution Engineering (&InpetroEnergy). Prior to that he held the position of Engineering and Sustaining Manager of Extreme Engineering. He led product development, built the “CommandCenter” concept, and was instrumental in the deployment Extreme’s novel unmanned operation’s model. Key areas of strength are mechanical, FEA, systems design, physics and operations management. David has an Engineering degree(Mechanical) from Univ. of Manitoba, carries a professional engineer designation and holds over 40 patents.
Alex Parken – Director
Alex focuses primarily in the areas of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities regulatory compliance. He has experience assisting issuers and underwriters on a range of transactions, including public and private offerings of equity and debt, mergers and corporate reorganizations and share and asset sales and acquisitions. Alex’s practice also involves advising issuers on general corporate, commercial and securities law, including TSX and TSXV listings, continuous disclosure, and corporate governance matters. He has experience assisting public and private companies in all stages of the business lifecycle. Alex received his J.D. and bachelor of arts at the University of Calgary. He obtained his Canadian Securities Course certification in 2012 and has completed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. Alex joined Burstall LLP as a summer student in 2015 and became an associate upon being called to the Alberta Bar in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked for an investment banking firm specializing in M&A advisory services and operated a property management business.
M. Cole Thompson – Director
Cole is an entrepreneur who currently owns and operates VDC Virtual Data Corp for past 14 years. VDC is a successful Cloud Hosting and IT Solutions company located at Innovation Place, a Research and Development park in Saskatoon, Canada. Cole studied Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and DeVry Institute of Technology in Calgary. Cole has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and is also the President and Chairman of the Saskatoon Internet Exchange which is federally incorporated Not-For-Profit. The Saskatoon Internet exchange helps facilitate local high speed internet connections between Internet Providers, Large Enterprise, Government, Education and Content providers. Prior to this, Cole was the Vice President of Client Services for a Point of Sale software Development Company that catered to large fast food restaurant chains. Cole also has 10 years of experience working on and managing software development projects.

James Bush MBA
Jim has played several senior management roles in oilfield services: As Chief Operating Officer of Extreme Engineering, he led the successful rollout of drilling technology growing it to a $61 mill revenue stream, and was instrumental in the business’ divestiture to Schlumberger in 2008. Jim was co-founder and President of Evolution Engineering (& Inpetro Energy), which became one of the pre-eminent specialty downhole tool suppliers in North America owning over 200 patents and winning Top Commercial Achievement in Alberta Science & Technology. As Sr. Vice President of Premier Directional Drilling he led a divestiture of the business to Tally Energy Services (2017); the transaction was a finalist for Deal of the Year at the 2017 Assoc. for Corporate Growth (ACG) Houston Awards. Jim has his MBA from Univ. of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and resides in Texas.
Dan is the owner of Longhorn Oil Field Services and proudly serves his community as a strong ambassador to youth and minor hockey. Longhorn services the Montney, Duvernay and Deep Basin plays from their bases in Fox Creek & Grande Prairie, Alberta and Dawson Creek, BC. With shop and yard services in the heart of the busiest oil fields in Western Canada, Dan and his team can efficiently serve oilfield clients across Northern BC and Alberta.
Daniel R. Lockwood
Daniel R. Lockwood serves as Vice-President of New Tech Global and is responsible for overseeing and managing NTG engineering and project management services. Mr. Lockwood is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Dan joined New Tech Engineering in 2000, and brings with him more than 27 years of engineering and management experience and is considered one of the industry’s leading experts in Shale Operations.
